Very satisfied. But struggled a bit with assembly

Overall Im very satisfied with the quality and function. The shock-cord rods COULD be higher quality but they arent overly low quality either.

I did struggle a good bit with assembling - as one person but I think it will go smoother now that Ive done it once, and would be easier with a helper.

Once it was assembled, I was VERY IMPRESSED!
Its sturdy, waterproof (rained a lot!) and most of all - light weight! Ive had a couple bad experiences with pop-Up canopies going air-born in The wind and doing damage.

This one is a fraction of the weight, stakes securely and easily to the ground, and even if it DID blow away, its lightweight and would not damage property or injure Anyone.

Also - has Loads of rings for hanging lights or the included side panels. And the little storage pockets are a bonus!

Overall- I give this product two thumbs up! And would buy again

Great sun shelter, and AWESOME for rainy situations

Easy setup for 2 people (approx 5-10 minutes), I put up myself in about 15-20 minutes (not easy, but not that hard). Very good quality. Used 4-5 times on sunny days, but wanted to highlight a recent experience during a camping trip. Had an unexpected major storm blow in during a camping trip, also had two other typical aluminum square frame shelters next tot his shelter, so I put up the included walls and this shelter became the hit of the trip. Everyone was under this shelter since the other shelters offered little protection from the rain (see picture). Not sure how strong the winds were, but the rain was blowy sideways at times, and many of the other peoples shelters broke under the wind, but this shelter stood strong, beyond my expectations. Now all the other people on the trip are talking about ordering one.

The only slight negative comment during our huge storm is since the rain was coming in sideways, we had a few rain dribbles in the middle of the shelter where the rain was blowing into the vents on the roof, only a few dribbles thought. But enough where I am considering the inside tent option as an alternative to my regular tent, and these dribbles would be a concern ONLY during really heavy blowing rain storms that a normal rainfly would prevent. Also, there are straps that go from corner to corner on the ground, these help hold the legs in place, which is awesome, but these also present a slight tripping hazard if someone is dragging their feet (not a big deal once everyone remembers the straps are there though).

Tip, the included stakes are typical heavy gauge wire ones which were usually fine in normal dirt, but on this trip, with very strong winds and ground soaking rain, a few of the simple stakes did start to pull up after a few hours of very strong winds and heavy ground soaking rain, so I swapped the included stakes out with some longer heavy duty stakes mid storm, and this shelter did not budge.

Good for shade on sunny day, but corner sections do block views a bit when we used this at our kids sports games.

For the price, this is a great option for most situations, with the legs being wide and blocking some views for sports watching as being my only slight issue.

Exactly as expected

Worked great! A little difficult to put up the first time and definitely needed 2 people, but happy with the purchase

WONDERFUL!

SUCH a great tent. Super easy to set up, and it's HUGE! The sides are easy to put up as well. The center top hook is red, so you know which one to start with, and there are corresponding loops to attach each to. You can configure the sides however you'd like.... It seriously only took minutes to set up. My husband is 6'3" and he had more than enough head room as you can see in the photos. I'm thinking this will be GREAT for camping, especially the drizzly days. There is room for a table and everyone to sit around it, and stay DRY. There are also pockets on the inside of two of the corners and the top is vented. I was impressed with the weight of the material, and it seems durable.

Great shelter

We got this shelter for our year-long US camping trip with our teardrop trailer. Its tall enough to shield our outdoor kitchen from rain and wind while cooking, and it also works great as a private enclosure for our portable toilet at off-grid campsites. The side walls are a nice add-on for extra coverage.

Some reviews say its tricky to set up, but I can put up the 10x10 alone even in snow! If you know how to set up dome tents, the shock-cord poles are simple to use.

It has plenty of space and reliably blocks wind and sun. Pro tip: Grab the smaller size for beach trips to save weight. This large one is bulky and heavy, ideal for groups. It comfortably fits 4C5 people with chairs. Overall, a versatile shelter for camping.

Loved it!

Loved the tent. It was perfect for the beach or any outside event. We had a lot of people stop and ask us about it. Unfortunately someone stole it on Wednesday evening at the beach.

Day one Outer Banks NC! Winner

We wanted to test it out at the beach in OBX before we reviewed it. As you may be aware (or not.... You might have missed this class in elementary school!) the Outer Banks is where Wilbur and Orville Wright first flew at Kittyhawk NC. The reason being, because of the strong constant winds. This area is NOT good for most sun tents or umbrellas.
We had the tent out today in 25 mph gusts! So, a couple of notes- if you're not a camper you might have a hard time understanding the instructions ( or lack their of...) you will a couple of hands to put it together- it's really not a one person set up - especially in high winds. If you are bringing this to the beach get 4 long sand stakes before you go! We also connected a rope inside to the center of the tent and connected it to the cooler to keep it down in the wind. Position one corner into the wind to help deflect the wind around the tent.
We were amazed how well it held up in the high winds! Especially out here in the Outer Banks winds!
Design consideration- it would be nice to have deep outer pockets that can be filled with sand. This would also help keep it from moving around.
25 mph Wind tested! Would buy again!

Exactly what I needed!!!!

I absolutely love this. It set up in less than 15 min, of course I will tether it down when actually using it. It took 10 min to take down and put in the bag. I do readings at psychic fairs so I wanted something that stands out and this does the trick!!!

Finally I was able to set it up now to the beach!!

I bought the 12ft x 12 ft and went to the beach without first setting it up at home! Lesson learned! ??.
Got the 8 x 8 ft and set it up before we set off for our next beach trip. I was able to do it by myself without any help.
Spacious and study! I like it.

The envy of the beach!!!

We purchased this for our recent family beach trip and couldnt be happier. Strong winds at the beach the entire time we were there and this tent handled it like a CHAMP! I literally had to run and grab someone elses beach umbrella that got launched into the air by a strong gust. But this little tent held fast. I had multiple people ask me where I got it and how much it cost. I highly recommend for keeping the sun away and the wind at bay! ??

Great value

It is a cool little shelter and I am 99% happy with it. If I had to nitpick my only complaints are as follows.
> only 2 shades for the sides. It would be nice to have the other 2.
> a little tricky to assemble. Definitely want a pal to help you put it up and the direction it comes with are not super intuitive. But if you take your time it gets easier the more you do it
> the stakes are a bit wimpy, I plan to up grade mine as I have already bent two of them but it is pretty standard for the product.

There are so many pro's tho I highly recommend for someone that has the patience to set it up. It is roomy and definitely makes a temperature difference in the Florida heat. The shape is nice and appealing. The canvas seems sturdy so far and it did catch some good winds just before hurricane Nicole this year.

I'm looking forward to see if we can double the side shade panels as a projector screen, outdoor gaming is gonna be so awesome!

Decent for the price!

UPDATE - We upgraded the stakes to some heavy duty ones, and this thing survived a very severe thunderstorm and downpour. It kept the ground completely dry until it was literally flooding in from underneath (nothing you can do at that point!) It also stayed up with sustained winds a whole night with the sides down. Count me impressed. Kept us cool and shaded in 96 degree weather as well!

This works super well as a rain or shade cover! It withstood a steady rain shower while beach camping. The 12x12 is a nice size, we needed something that could pack down small since we fit everything in a smaller hatchback car. We place it over the screen room of our tent. You do need a lot of room to set this up, because the poles stick out far before you bend them. Setup is a workout for 2 people, but tear down is quick. The bag it comes in is impossible to squeeze it back in, we got something a bit bigger to use for storage.

A MUST BUY FOR BEACH DAYS BUT..

A must buy for beach days but the anchors provided would under no circumstances hold down the tent. You must purchase separate anchors for this to work. The best ones to buy are the 17inch screw kind. Since we didnt have those we had to keep the tent secured with our ice chests and bags. Otherwise it wouldve blown away. Two people can set this up but on a windy beach day 3 people would be best. It took us about an hour to set up bc the anchors werent working.. once more coolers arrived it help keep the anchors down. But I will say all the effort was absolutely worth it. It felt like micro beach house! Once you have the proper anchors this is amazing! ?? And I was impressed on how compact it is when its stored. The bag is just about 2 feet long. Overall, this is an absolute must buy for beach days!!

Love how compact and easy to carry it is

I love the size of this when collapsed. We tried one of those big pop up shades that was like 4' tall when in is bag and it was impossible to drag down to the beach, that's why we went looking for something different and landed on this one. The only down side is that when we put it up for the first time we noticed a little hole in the canopy. I'm a little bummed out about it because we love this shade so much, might have to return this one and replace it. But it is definitely worth it!!! You won't regret this buy!
